Plant Description Notes Vigorous young fruiting clones present in second growth forest near the base of the escarpment just S of the nature trail. Many inflorescences infested by the hemipteran seed predator Lyrnessus geniculatus (Guerin). Older shoots producing smaller, reduced-leafy “short-shoots” from the lower nodes, these terminated by a reduced inflorescence; decumbent stems producing still smaller “short-shoots”, these terminated by a very small, spike-like inflorescence.
