Plant Location Notes Steep western slopes of Sierra de San Sebastian, 15-30 km (straight line distance) north of Mascota on road to San Sebastian; open, drier slopes with wood of Pinus and Quercus; wet, shaded barrancas with mixed forest of Magnolia, Fraxinus, Prunus, Garrya, Cornus and other trees. Elev. 1200-1330 m.
Plant Description Notes Woody shrub 2 m tall; petals bright yellow; rare, in open places; very abundant lower in valley along cultivated fields.
