Plant Description Notes Musa-like; 4-5 m tall; petiole 105 cm; blade 12- cm long 35 cm wide, upper surface dark green, lower surface green with maroon tint and lateral veins, glabrous; inflorescence pendent, 39 cm long; peduncle rose; rachis rose-red; cincinnal bract sub distichous; bract margins straight to involute at base, pink inside villous to velutinous with yellow hairs, outside rose pink, glabrous; floral bract white; perianth 5.6 cm long, white basally to yellow at apex, glabrous basally to velutinous with yellow hairs at apex; ovary white, glabrous; pedicel pink.

Plant Description Notes Musa-like; 6 m tall; petiole 100 cm long; blade 180 cm long, 44 cm wide, upper surface dark green, lower surface green, glabrous; inflorescence pendent, 75 cm long peduncle pink to orange to pale yellow near distal bract; rachis pink; cincinnal bract sub-distichous; bract margins straight to involute at base, inside pale yellow with pink margins, villous to velutinous with rusty hairs, outside pink to red, velutinous to woolly with rusty hairs; floral bracts white; perianth 5 cm long, pale pink at base to deep yellow at apex, glabrous at base to tomentose with rusty hairs at apex; ovary white to bluish, glabrous, pedicel white to pink.

Plant Location Notes 6 mi above El Valle de Anton, behind the 3 peaks, elev. 2700'; in disturbed soil by path.
Plant Description Notes Plan 4.5 m, musoid; petiole 155 cm, blade 155 cm long by 46 cm, dark green above and green below; midrib light green. Inflorescence pendulous, 56 cm long; peduncle red, woolly with yellow hairs. Rachis flexuous, red. Branch bracts rotate, 10 cm long; margins straight; insides red to white at base, velutinous; outsides red to white at rachis, slightly scurfy. Floral bract pinkish white, free sepal below; perianth white to yellow at tip, glabrous to velutinous at tips and free sepal. Ovary white, pedicel pinkish white.
