Plant Location Notes Cerro Campana, beyond the Fu Lai Motel, elev. 3000'; on moist wooded slope above banana planting.
Plant Description Notes Plant 5 m, musoid; petiole 175 cm, blade 148 cm long by 54 cm, dark green above, with light midrib, green below with maroon tinted margins and yellowish midrib. Inflorescence pendulous, 55 cm long; peduncle red, woolly. Rachis flexuose, red. Branch bracts rotate, 10 cm long; red to white above midrib within, velutinous; outside, red and longvelutinous. Margins straight. Floral bract pink. Free sepal below. Perianth white at base, yellow toward tip, glabrous to velutinous toward tip with golden hairs. Ovary slightly blue-tinted white, pedicle white.
