Plant Location Notes Along the road within 2 miles and at the top of Cerro Jefe. Alt. about 3000 ft.
Plant Description Notes Arching shrub, branches to 2 m. Stems green becoming reddish brown. Leaves dark green above, green beneath, hard coriaceous, slightly bullate. Rachis, pedicels, bracteoles, calyx, corolla green. Calyx-tube slightly winged opposite sinus. Corolla lobes valvate in bud. Filaments translucent white, anther-sacs orangish-brown, tubules yellowish-brown. Common at top of Cerro Jefe. Corolla reddish in bud. Also a reddish hue to calyx-tube and upper pedicel.
