Plant Location Notes Edges of tropical deciduous forest in the mountains 13 miles east of Tanatepec, not far from the border of Oaxaca. Elevation about 2300 feet.
Plant Description Notes Rather soft-wooded shrubs 2-3 m tall. Heads 1-7, yellow. Rays numerous (about 50) about 1 cm long or a little less. Achenes flattened, winged on one side only, the wing prolonged into an awn.
