Plant Location Notes Mountain summits near pass ca. 11 miles south-southwest of Colima on Manzanillo road; precipitous rocky slopes and ravines of gypsum and slate, in deciduous woodland with Juliania, Bursera, Cephalocereus, Cyrtocarpa, Cassia; elevation 400-500 m.
Plant Description Notes Abundant on dry ridges on the seaward side of the pass. Treelike, 2 m. high; stems leafless, to 5 cm. thick; plant brittle; branchlets stubby; flowers yellow.
