Plant Location Notes Along Highway 15 between Naranjo and Quesada, 3.2 miles N of Zapote; 1560 m; remnant virgin forest in ravine and on steep slopes.
Plant Description Notes Pendant epiphytic, abundant on lower branches of tree; stem 2.5 cm diam, less than 30 cm long; cataphylls brownish, weathering to a fibrous network, persisting; petioles terete, obtusely and obscurely canaliculate; peduncle terete; spathe green outside, heavily tinged on inside with violet-purple; tepals brown; green fruits emerging, ca 1.5 mm.
