Plant Location Notes Monteverde, Pacific slope, Rio Guacimal valley. Elev. 800 m. 
Plant Description Notes Liana in second growth; flowers pale brown, 5 lobed, horizontal; black ring around red-brown center, copious white latex. Leaves simple opposite; fuzzy shiny above and dark green, glabrous and pale green below. Long petioles insert into blade which has extended lobes, behind connexion. Strong Solanum smell in leaves. 1 inflorescence/axil; 2 cm peduncle, ca 10 fowers and buds/inflorescence, 2-3 open at once. Corollas 1 cm across. Slight fetid odor at night in collected flowers. Stems green with long rust hairs. One immature fruit has ca 50 long, thing papillae.
